Hasty sketch…and more DA3 ponderings.
Because there had to be a reason for how ubiquitous those pants were.
Just shenanigans and more DA3 cameo desires.
So this is my Dragon Age version of the old Hostess Twinkies ad I reblogged earlier. And you know, the usual shenanigans from our stalwart and amorous crew.
When I heard about “Inquisition,” I didn’t think of templars, mages, or Seekers.
No. I thought of “the feather.”
This started as just a silly little doodle of Merrill looking sly, but of course, I needed something to prompt that impish countenance.
Somehow or another, that something managed to be sexy shenanigans.
I imagine that the pirate queen often has these qualms of ginger conscience.
Because there’s always that one friend (or maybe two) who has to insist (mostly out of affection) upon paying for everything. And of course, no one else wants that, because they don’t want to feel beholden, or they prefer to pay their own way, or what not. And then there’s the inevitable scuffle, or glaring, or flinging of dollar bills etc. and so forth, that makes the paying of the tab both frustrating and amusing as all hell.
I figure that Aveline and Isabela would be those friends.
This is my attempt to capture (one of) the mental visuals inspired by Taedius’s wonderful and hilarious ‘Hawke, Go the Fuck to Sleep’ (if you haven’t read it yet, you should be clicking that link).
I don’t know that I did it any justice in the least bit, and yeah, Isabela wasn’t mentioned, but I imagined that she would be part and party to any ‘piss-off-the-guard-captain’ shenanigans.
So impressioniste had pondered the possibilities of writing an AU parody of Goonies using DA characters. And upon reading that, various images wafted forth in the cartoon theater of my mind. I mentioned this to Isabela, who then relayed the above scene - something about drunken shenanigans and silly tummy jiggles. I took a stab at capturing it (though I suspect that much more occurred after the playful puckering up).
As a bonus, post script, or crumb of sorts, here’s the first DA-Goonies idea that popped into my head, all sketchy-like.
Because you know Oghren would do the truffle shuffle for a pint.
